Yixuan Li's Land

Hi, this is Yixuan. I am interested in both computational neuroscience and machine learning. I am sharing my learning notes of this strange world here. Hope you enjoy it!

About

My name is Yixuan Li. I was born by the Songhua River, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, China.

I studied physics at USTC for my bachelor’s degree. In bachelor thesis, I proposed a method to enhance the focality of Temporal Interference (TI) stimulation, which I successfully validated using Finite Element Method (FEM) simulation.

For my master’s, I worked in the Wen Lab, where I developed software to automatically identify the behaviors of C. elegans. By combining this software with calcium imaging, I was able to prove that C. elegans are capable of multisensory integration.

In July 2025, I joined the CCTN Lab as a short-term research assistant, focusing on decoding language (specifically Chinese characters) from brain signals recorded via invasive electrodes in epileptic patients. I believe that, thanks to the rapid advancements in deep learning, we will be able to help paralyzed individuals regain their voice within the next decade.

In my spare time, I love running, basketball, hiking, music and exploring all the strange things in this strange world.

Here is my CV.
